The Murrieta Soccer Development Academy program is designed for youth soccer players from birth years 2012-2018. All level players are welcome! Our curriculum embraces a multi-sensory approach to learning the game, with a focus on technical proficiency, physical conditioning, and basic tactical understanding. With enthusiastic and professional coaches, the Development Academy program will not only help your player to develop soccer skills and awareness, but most importantly, it will help them grow a strong passion for the game with the sportsmanship to succeed. Players who complete the program can expect to emerge confident, creative, and technically proficient for their age.

When do sessions take place?

2024 Sessions: 5 Week Sessions

Monday & Wednesday – Check In 3:45pm – Training 4:00-5:00pm

Session 1: Completed

Session 2: March 18 - April 17

Session 3: May 6 - June 5

Session 4: July 29 - August 28

Session 5: November 11 - December 18 (Thanksgiving week off)

What are the age groups?

Players Born in 2012 thru to 2018

What is the cost of the sessions?

$100 per session (MYSL registered player receive 50% discount)

The $100 covers the full 5 weeks block of sessions

What are the training sessions like?

Training sessions will be structured in a rotating circuit, organized to maximize each players time with a ball. Development Academy coaches will be stationed throughout the circuit to oversee each section of the training. We will begin each session with a technical warm up, followed by three10 minute sections of the circuit. We end each session with small sided games, focused on the theme of the day.

Training Components:

Technical – Passing, Dribbling, Ball Control

Tactical – Attacking, Defending, Positioning

Physical – Balance, Agility, Quickness.

Mental – Focus, Decision Making, Leadership

Small Sided Games – 4v4 Diamond, Small Goals

Rules of the Game – Free Kicks, Penalties, etc…
