WELCOME TO MURRIETA YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE (MYSL)
MYSL IS A RECREATIONAL SOCCER LEAGUE
MYSL recreational soccer programs are for players who want to develop their skills without the travel, commitment and cost of competitive soccer. MYSL has two seasons: Spring and Fall, with 10 games scheduled (weather permitting) for each season. Uniforms are included in each season’s registration fee, as is goalkeeper training when offered. Players will need to have a proper size soccer ball, soccer cleats, and mandatory shinguards. Practices are held at parks throughout the City limits. Coaches determine the days, times, and locations of their team’s practices. Parents are strongly advised to review the player agreement before registering. Below are summaries of each season.
SPRING
Generally, our Spring season games start in early March and end the weekend before Memorial Day with a weekend open for Spring break. Practices typically start two weeks before the first game. Spring season is considered developmental: no standings are kept, there are no division winners, no post-season play. Players should enjoy 12-13 weeks of soccer.
FALL
Fall season games usually start the weekend before Labor Day and end in early November. No games are played during Labor Day Weekend. Practices typically start two weeks before the first game.
Top teams and selected players in the U10, U12 and U14 divisions have the opportunity to qualify for post-season. The top 4 teams, determined by season standings, qualify for the playoffs using a 4 team, single elimination format. The season champions are eligible for the Commissioner’s Cup in Temecula. Players selected by their coach also have the opportunity to tryout and play in All Star tournaments.
Every player recieves an individual and team picture as part of their registration fees.
Players should enjoy 11-20 weeks of soccer when post season play is included.

Girls U10 coaches Natalie Levis & Tawney Martinez with Wild Minions as Commissioner’s Cup Champions!! Playing with no subs, they allowed only 2 goals…GREAT JOB girls!!

Coach Ben Tsai and Natalie Levis with their Girl’s U12 Princess Peaches crushed it as Commissioner’s Cup Champions going undefeated, 4-0 and allowing only a single goal in 4 games. Great job girls!!
Congratulations 2023 TOC Teams!
Congratulations coach Ben Tsai & Natalie Levis and the U12 All Girls All Star team. They went undefeated in the group stage and played Rialto in the Championship game to a 4-4 tie, eventually losing in the penalty kick shootout 1-2 after 4 OT periods.Tough loss but fantastic showing girls!
Congratulations Coaches Brice Devey & Christie Blair and their U12 Coed All Star team. Going undefeated in group play, they lost in the Championship game 1-3 agaianst Temecula. Great job!!
Congratulations 2023 President Cup Winners
Coach Davina and David Sanchez and the U19 All Girls team went 1-2 at President’s cup before losing in Championship game 2-3. The girls played their hearts out and finished as a wild card for Tournament of Champions!
Coach Brice Devey and Assistant coach Christie Blair U12 Finalist finished bracket play 2-0-1 with victories over Gran Terrace (5-1), Empire (2-1) and tied Temecula, 1-1. Unfortiunatley, they lost in the final after a great battle woth Victorville, 3-4. We wish them the best of luck as they move on to the Tournament of Champions in Grand Terrace, January 27-28.

Post Season Tournaments
MYSL recreational soccer league is designed to teach players soccer skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in an environment where participation and fun are the focus, not competition.
The philosophy of the MYSL recreational program is to ensure that all Murrieta area youth have the opportunity to learn the game of soccer. The program provides a low-cost, safe and structured soccer experience for all area youth. MYSL can serve as a starting point before moving to the club level. MYSL rec games are played at Los Alamos Hills Sports Park in Murrieta.
The information listed below is a brief summary of some of the rules and policies affecting your child's application. Parents must read in full and accept the MYSL Player Legal Agreement during sign up. Failing to read the ELA does not eliminate terms of the Electronic Legal Agreement.
The MSA Development Academy program is designed for youth soccer players from birth years 2010-2013. All level players are welcome! Our curriculum embraces a multi-sensory approach to learning the game, with a focus on technical proficiency, physical conditioning, and basic tactical understanding. With enthusiastic and professional coaches, the Pre Academy program will not only help your player to develop soccer skills and awareness, but most importantly, it will help them grow a strong passion for the game with the sportsmanship to succeed. Players who complete the program can expect to emerge confident, creative, and technically proficient for their age.
CAL SOUTH ANNOUNCES YOUTH HEADING POLICY AND IMPLEMENTATION TIMELINE FOR SMALL-SIDED GAMES
WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RUN LEAGUE - COACHES NEEDED IN ALL DIVISIONS!
Coaches & assistant coaches must possess the appropriate coaching license for the oldest age group wishing to coach.
Coaching assignments are determined by number of registered players & sign up date.
MYSL will provide access to the USSOCCER coaching education classes. Go to the coaches page for detailed information.
The new coaching license levels are 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11. These replace the YM/3, F, E & D licenses.
YM/3, F, E & D previously issued licenses will continue to be accepted.
Administrators who have a YM3 or F license can coach u5 to u12 teams.
Administrators who have an E license can coach all age groups.
All team admistrators must take the mandatory concussion class and email their certificate to myslreg@gmail.com.
All team administrators must be livescan (Risk Management) approved.
