EFFECTIVE MARCH 2025
Join U.S. Soccer in creating a better future for our game. Our updated Referee Abuse Prevention Policy (Policy 531-9) is designed to make youth and amateur matches safer, more fun, and more empowering for everyone involved. Referee abuse will not be tolerated. We're asking everyone to do their part by knowing the rules, reporting referee abuse, and embodying behaviors that represent the best of us.

CLEAR RULES & CONSEQUENCES FOR A WINNING EXPERIENCE
U.S. Soccer is standing firm to protect referees and restore respect to the game. The updated policy includes stronger sanctions for any form of physical or non-physical abuse towards referees. We encourage every player and coach to learn what behaviors cross the line, so they can avoid penalties and help create a better culture for the future of soccer.

MYSL coaches after their annual Coaches Cup. Happy to report ZERO injuries!!
NEW COACH TRAINING!
MYSL does not exist without our volunteer coaches. To be sure, it is a challenge to find enough parents willing to volunteer their time and energy for our kids. MYSL is proud to offer our extensive resources to support our volunteer coaches. We recently held 4 weeks of training sessions for our Fall season U8 and below new coaches! We are looking to expand it to all divisions with an opportunity for advance training as requested.
MYSL TEAM DRAFT!!
In our continuing effort to have more balanced teams, promote better competition, and above all, player enjoyment, MYSL held our first ever player draft in the U10 and older divisions. We want to thank ALL the coaches who participated, it was remarkable how well the process went and rewarding to see so many people who are there for the players and the good of the game. THANK YOU!!
CONGRATULATIONS JONATHAN TORRES - CAL SOUTH 2021 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR!!
Jonathan Torres, has been named the Cal South Volunteer of the year. The Torres family has been extremely supportive of TOPS soccer, and this was Jonathan's third season volunteering as a Buddy for our players. He has demonstrated compassion, understanding, and a generosity of spirit that is an inspiration to us all. We are very proud of Jonathan!
